“Dead/Defective On Arrival” (DOA) Policy

Introduction

Manomay Electronics Private Limited hereafter referred to as ‘MEPL’ will provide its customers with a Dead/Defective On Arrival Policy (the ‘DOA policy’) to support its customers. Such a policy will be supported by MEPL provided that the policy stipulations have first been accepted and are approved by MEPL.

DOA Product Definition

A product will be covered under the DOA policy if found dead/defective at the time of installation due to:

  1. Hardware failure
  2. Non-performance of its basic operation (excluding software’s)

DOA Policy

The DOA period is for a maximum of 7 days from the date of purchase by the end user (“DOA Period”). Service call should have been registered at MEPL call center within DOA period from date of purchase. The defective products should be returned to the nearest designated Service Centre within these 7 days (from the date of Invoice) by the end user. The customer will be issued a new box pack unit after verifying the eligibility. Products with issues arising from misuse or malfunctions occurring after the DOA Period are not covered under the DOA Policy. Standard warranty procedures shall apply in such cases. Returned units must be packaged identically to the manner in which they were delivered and should include correct outer carton, internal protection packaging and any ancillary items packaged safely including manuals and the accessories.

The defective product must be

  1. With Original Box Pack/ Accessories/ Invoice
  2. In Prime return condition (without scratches, dents etc)
  3. Without physical damage arising out of improper use/ manhandling.

Returned DOA product will be picked up by MEPL’s authorized shipping agency.

DOA Procedure

  • The Customer is to inform MEPL service department of the DOA. Authorization to return the unit will be in the form of an RMA document or a mail communication. After authorization the DOA units are to be returned to the specified address (as shown below) unless otherwise specified by the service department.
  • Product is to be accompanied with paperwork to explain the reason for the DOA return along with the mail reference, if any.
  • On receipt MEPL will validate the reported DOA product against the returned unit. Once validated, a new box pack unit of same product or different product of same/higher price & similar functions will be provided to the Customer within 7 days. In case, if MEPL is not able to arrange for the repairs or the replacement of DOA product, refund will be arranged for the said product within 5-7 working days.
  • If MEPL finds the unit to be different from the reported DOA unit, older than 7 days, or abused, the DOA unit will be returned to the customer ‘as is’.
